Ghost has raised $11M from Andreessen Horowitz to build Core, the personal AI computer: a personal agent running 24/7 on local models, with an NVIDIA chip and memory on the device, connected to apps, wearables, smart home devices and screen history. No data leaves the device. The first batch has sold out; registration for the second is open at ghost.ai.
A brain in a box
No screen. An Nvidia RTX Pro 4000 SFF Blackwell GPU is bundled into the price, and you reach it from your phone or the app, by text or voice.
Three preinstalled, or bring your own
Qwen-3.8-Next, Qwen-3.8-27B and Gemma-4-31B ship on the device. You can add models from Hugging Face or load your own, and updates arrive over the air.
Everything stays on the device
Models and memory run locally and encrypted, so no third party, Ghost included, can read them. A firewall screens every outgoing request, and Core keeps working even if Ghost does not.

Zain Javaid set out to be a quant, and was one, until ChatGPT landed in 2022: “I felt fundamentally excited in a way that I never had been before.” He is 19, and Core’s CEO. The units are built at the team’s own San Francisco facility.
