Member of the Talent Team, GTM.
We’re hiring someone to build the expansion-stage sales practice at Audacious, alongside Sam Price and Catherine McClure. The ambition is bigger than recruiting: to become one of the most important nodes in the sales talent ecosystem in SF and NYC, the person great sellers know, and the person founders call when they’re building a sales team. It’s a cross between recruiting, community, and platform.
Bigger than recruiting.
You’ll build on a talent platform that already operates at meaningful scale. Across the portfolio, the team makes 1,200+ double opt-in introductions a year and meets roughly 120 candidates every week. For hyper-growth companies where hiring demand is infinite, Audacious is often the best option for building pipeline at scale, typically 100–150 high-quality introductions per company during aggressive hiring.
A recruiting machine to plug into
AI-powered sourcing and matchmaking, a team of GTM sourcers, an established candidate network, and some of the fastest-growing companies in the portfolio from day one.
Real impact on real teams
When Audacious began working closely with Nominal on sales hiring, it helped build roughly 25% of the team, and moved companies from hiring one seller every six weeks to one every three.
Judgment, taste, and trust
The best people still respond to relationships, persistence, and trust. That’s the part we want you to own, and ultimately make much bigger.
Four parts.
Build the sales network we want to own
Know the best sellers and emerging sales leaders (1st and 2nd line) in SF and NYC before we need them. Run the sales community in both markets: dinners, small groups, cohorts, and events. Over time, great sellers know you, trust you, and think of you when they consider what’s next.
Turn relationships into hires
Put high-quality candidates in front of our companies consistently and at volume, then help turn those conversations into hires, across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise AEs and the next generation of sales leadership, with AI sourcing, matchmaking, and a team of GTM sourcers behind you.
Learn how great sales orgs get built
Evaluate sellers beyond quota attainment, and advise founders on compensation, equity, quota design, accelerators, territories, and hiring strategy, when to hire a sales leader, what makes a great first VP of Sales, and when you need a VP Sales versus a CRO.
Build a reputation in the market
Build in public on LinkedIn, X, or wherever the sales world is paying attention. Write about what you’re learning, host dinners, and share a point of view, so strong sellers know who you are before you reach out, and founders know where to find you.
Obsessed with the craft.
The fit
- Obsessive about the craft of recruiting, you remember where someone works, what they’re great at, and what they want next.
- You genuinely enjoy being in the market, meeting people and building relationships long before there’s an obvious reason to.
- You care deeply about your reputation with founders and in the sales ecosystem.
- Strong opinions about talent, held loosely, you want to understand why someone is great at selling, not just whether they hit quota.
- You think in systems and have a bias toward action, when something works, you make it repeatable and scale it.
Why now. Sam and Catherine have spent two years building the Audacious sales practice from the ground up. This is the first addition to the GTM team, someone who plugs into everything they’ve built and helps scale it everywhere.

Come build with us.
The foundation is here, a talent platform already operating at scale. The opportunity is to take what’s working and build a much larger, more powerful expansion-stage sales talent practice on top of it.
